Hi, Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. I would require more information to help you better.
When you say your printer does not recognized by Windows? Do you receive any error message while you connect your printer? This issue occurs when the drivers are corrupted or not updated. I would suggest you to try the following steps from the below link and check if it helps: Fix printer problems Hope this information is helpful. Do let us know if you need any further assistance, we'll be glad to assist you.
Regards, Yaseer. Mohammed, I have the same exact printer and same exact problem as 'mixermate'. There are at least 11 of us so far with this problem. I tried to contact Lexmark, and you might say they've decided to pull support from all their current Inkjet printers and just focus on Lazer printers for the office.
Too bad, they made a pretty good ink-jet printers. Mine works fine - on windows 7.
I cant get it to work on Windows 8 or Windows 10. I followed the instructions above and ran the troubleshooter, which didnt find the problem.
Seems that Microsoft changed or added some features which the Lexmark 9575 didnt support. Now, you have to wonder why there isnt some sort of backward compatability driver from Microsoft that would emulate the way the same hardware worked running windows 7. So upgrading my 4 year old computer and 5 year old printer to Windows 10 made my printer obsolete.
I have to choose going back to windows 7, or not being able to print. Or I could go out and spend another $125 and buy a new 'Windows 10' certified printer.
But thats not the point. Microsoft could easily assign some intern to figure out what the differences are and at least document them so that someone can write a driver for the Lexmark 9575. Hi Mohammed, Link to a video showing the problem: (Note - I dont know if this worked at all - its the new Microsft Ondedrive live app.
Let me know and I can email you the.SWF file instead) Note- this is after I tried to install the Lexmark for Windows2000 figuring they were more modern than the Windows 7 drivers. With Windows 7 Drivers running on Windows 10, it simply hangs and theres no error message. Stuff sits in the print queue forever.
What this looks like to me is there are some firewall or security issues having to do with the Virtual USB port. I dont know where to find the logs for this, but I checked the firewall and the settings (rules) for the printer and the Lexmark utilities are all open (ie rules are enabled for incoming and outgoing connections).
This was done with the USB cable connected. I have even less luck with a pure wireless connection. I am eagerly awaiting a response from the team at Microsoft. I think this would be trivial for someone with the right knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 7 print driver API's. Regards, Doug Rook-Smith.
I found an unusual way for the solution of the problem: 1) download the latest driver available from the Lexmark website for X9575 2) Install the driver on your Windows 10, do not forget to keep the USB cable plugged into the printer 3) when choosing the connection, WiFi school, use the appropriate moment credentials and SSID of your WiFi network 4) complete the installation and restart the printer at the end. In my case the scanner works and also by the impression WiFi Ataide Cardoso from Brazil.
I have a slightly different problem with my Lexmark X9575. Since updating to Windows 10 I have a document that I can't delete from the print spool. This is preventing me from uninstalling the program. It is connected with ethernet. I know that if I can uninstall the software and re-install and use wirelessly it will work, as recommended by another forum contibutor. I know this works because I've just loaded it on my new laptop. I have run microsoft troubleshooter several times and all it does is reset the document to print again.
Appreciate your input to overcome this continuous cycle I find myself in.
